The Human Body

Topic: the human body (esp. skeleton)

Questions:
How does every single bone in your body, and blood, make your body what it is?

What is my answer?
The bone is just like the inside bit, and the blood is making your body what it is. The bone is right in the middle, then there is blood the around the bone, then skin around the blood.

The answers:
Where is the blood in our body?
links: Cardiovascular system
The blood in our body is basically everywhere. Because the bit where it isn't is where bones are, it 'goes around our bones and brain.
I learnt from this site the blood doesnt actally have colour. It has these red blood cells. Also it has white cells which eat germs. platelets come out to help you heal.

The Forest Beast

In the forest there was a forest beast. The forest beast was in the ocean with fish and sharks. He ate lots of bones, seaweed, and people!

He prefers girls. He lived in a swamp where there's lots of mud. Oocky moocky squishy sticky mud.

In his swamp there was people's bones. He was saving the bones for later, because he thought they were the best bits. They looked like scary creatures.

The monster looked at its watch, and it was already dinner time. But there was nothing to eat. Because the people already knew he was eating their friends and family. So they were afraid to come. There was lots of berries, though. And he thought he would just be sneaky and steal some strawberries and blueberries and all the other kinds of berries that were on the trees. He didn't know that he was allergic to berries. It made him very sick, and he couldn't eat anything for a long time. But when he recovered, the people just heard the news that he was sick and couldn't eat for a long time. And at the time that he recovered, crowds of people came in the forest, and when they saw the berries were gone, they were sad because they couln'd have food because they could only have berries. This was because there was no shops and no food. But just then, they remembered the chickens and birds and fish. So they went to the river and the chicken farm, and they got fish and chicken for them to eat. The monster, meanwhile, was quite old and he felt like he was going to die. And the day after that, he died. The berries grew and the people came out to eat the berries and get the food. They were happy that the monster was gone. They were angry at the monster, and sad too, because he ate their friends and family.

Travelling!

Today I am travelling to Renwick in the car. Our first stop was at Kaikoura. We went out for lunch. We just had a pie or something quick, so we could get there more quickly. When we arrived there, I was so happy to see Nan and Pop. When we got there, we unloaded the car and we found the bedroom and Nan helped us get our bags into the rooms. Then we went back out and opened one of our presents. It was books. There was a big box with Roald Dahl books in it and it has a set of six and the other book we got was Showtime!
